Kolles LMP signs Andy Meyrick

The upcoming young driver Andrew Meyrick, awarded with the "Rising Star" of the "British Racing Driver's Club" and participant of the "MSA British Race Elite Scheme", will be involved in the LMS program of team Kolles for 2009.

The 23-year-old Briton, who started his career in Formula Ford 1600 and Formula Renault, now steps up to sportscars after a successful year in the prestigious British Formula 3 championship.

Meyrick dominated the National Class in 2008 by winning seven races from twelve starts, although his championship assault was hindered by health reasons.

Team founder Dr. Colin Kolles commented: "Andy dominated the National Class of Formula 3, until he was restrained by illness to win the championship. The only important thing is that he recovered from that virus and will start again with us this year. He is a fighter and will surely show his potential in the sportscar - we're impressed with his recuperation."
