The Lola Aston Martin cars have finished on top of the final practice session at Silverstone ahead of this year's season-ending 1000km race at the Northamptonshire circuit. The Primat-Turner combination leads the way from team-mates Charous, Enge and Mücke.
With the third and final practice session due to be followed by qualifying later on Saturday afternoon at Silverstone, teams made the most of the hour-long session to fine-tune setups. The Primat and Darren Turner car's best effort was 1:33.821, just under three tenths of a second quicker than the team's second car.
The leading Pescarolo of Friday dropped to fourth on Saturday morning as the ORECA entry of Frenchmen Panis and Lapierre slotted into third. Zytek was the best LMP2 car on this occasion, courtesy of a 13th best overall time from Ojjeh, Gosselin and Peter.
